Ford Model A
One of the most iconic car of between 1920s to 1930s, the Ford Model A continued the success story of Ford Motor Company after the legendary Ford Model T, the Ford Model A helps the company withstood competition as more and more companies jump into mass production of cars. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2. The Ford Model A is offered in a wide range of different body types which include Coupes, Sport Coupes, Roadster Coupes, Convertible Cabriolet, Convertible Sedan, Phaeton, Tudor, Town Car, Fordor, Victoria, Station Wagon, Taxicab, Truck and Commercial. Prices range from US$385 for a roadster to $1400 for the top-of-the-line Town Car.Many "first" are introduced in this model, the Ford Model A is the first car to have safety glass in the windshield, and the first Ford model to utilize standard sets of driver controls, with conventional clutch and brake pedals, throttle and gear shift. This makes the car more acceptable to former drivers of other makes as compared to previous models which has driver controls that are out-of-date and can be hard to accustomed unless you have driven previous Ford models.
The car is one of the most well-known model you could come across when buying a vintage car, as many as 4,849,340 were produced before being replaced by Ford Model B in 1931.
